Goodbye, Hello!

Two Thousand and Ten was a bittersweet year. If the next one is only a fraction of what this one was, we are in for a ride.

In the end this song by my friends from The Frames says everything I felt throughout this singular twelve month cycle.

Pavement Tune

The Frames

“This situation’s killing me

It’s got me right under the thumb

I don’t know where I want to be

This doesn’t make no sense at all

You’re quoting every single line

I spoke too much but I was old before my time, you told me

I want my life to make more sense

I want my life to make amends

I want my life to make more sense to me

This road is crooked cracked and wrong

They got the odds staked nice and high

I don’t know how they get along

Me, I just internalize

You can imagine what they’d say

Given the choice if I could fight or walk away, I’m walking

You see I want my life to make more sense

I want my life to make amends

I want my life to make more sense to me

I want my life to make more sense

I want my life to make more sense to me

So let me take you by the hand

And lead you through this troubled mind

You said yourself we had a plan

To get us all back to the line

We talk anout it everyday

But we keep forgetting what it was we Came to say

Now don’t we

I want my life to make more sense

I want my life to make amends

I want my life to make more sense to me

My life to make amends

See all of you on the other side.

Used to be one of the rotten ones and I liked you for that.

Now you’re all gone got your make-up on and you’re not coming back.

Can’t you come back?

Bleaching your teeth, smiling flash, talking trash, under your breath.
Bleaching your teeth, smiling flash, talking trash, under my window.

Park that car, drop that phone.

“Sempre que der, mande um sinal de vida de onde estiver dessa vez. Qualquer coisa que faça eu pensar que você está bem, ou deitada nos braços de outro qualquer que é melhor. Do que sofrer, de saudades de mim como estou de você, pode crer, que essa dor eu não quero para ninguem no mundo, ainda mais pra você.”

Section 26 (We Crawl)

We try
We crawl
We live
We’re small

We’re stuck in a monday, it’s telling me someday
We’re gonna be fine
I know it’s all moving
Can’t tell if I’m losing
The love of my life

We try
We crawl
We live
We’re small

I know that were broken
It’s been unspoken for such a long time
It’s scarier weather when we live together
I know that well be just fine

We try
To crawl
To live
To grow

On our way, today
Day after day
We try hard
We, crawl far

On our way, today
Day after day

I know that its better, when we stick together
Our love is alive

Through ups and down of facing each other
Together were better together well find

We try
To crawl
(Better Together)
To live
To know
(Better together)

This scene make me cry and laugh so much! All at once. All together, in the end!
